I've been recieving homework from my college professors and they are in .RTF and .DOC format and contain OLE embedded objects of various types. I have no problem opening them in Microsoft Wordpad or Word and so I was thinking Atlantis might be making a mistake or need work on OLE support. I notice Atlantis doesn't allow for adding OLE objects of any type, or at least I can not find how to browse and add OLE objects to my documents (except for images and maybe one other). Atlantis does make a valient attempt and displaying these objects, but it seems to be getting them wrong sometimes. Please look at the attached document. It has an embedded object that is displayed, but the text in the object gets scrambled and overlaps to the point of being unreadable. Please let me know if you have any solution or if there will be better OLE Object embedding and linking support in the future, so that I can continue using Atlantis.
Note: test this document in Wordpad , the window accessory, to see the fields displayed correctly. I haven't had a chance to test in non microsoft OLE complient rich text editors yet but I will later.
Atlantis doesn't seem to be supporting OLE correctly.

You are right. Atlantis has no support for embedded OLE Objects yet.
This is scheduled for a future version.
Note that you can insert any picture as an ordinary picture in Atlantis. It does not have to be an OLE Object to serve its pupose.
Cheers
