Atlantis Word Processor in your language
Country flags

The user interface of Atlantis is available in multiple languages:

• English

• French

• German

• Polish (translation by as®)

• Simplified Chinese (translation by Terio Shang)

• Spanish (translation by Thomas Bigler)

• Traditional Chinese (translation by Terio Shang)

If you are fluent in a language other than those listed above, and familiar with Atlantis Word Processor, you can help with translating its user interface into your native language. If you are interested in bringing Atlantis closer to users in your country, please read on.

Atlantis supports external language packs for its entire user interface. All the dialogs, menus, commands, messages, etc. can be changed into virtually any language without ever requiring recompiling the program itself. When multiple language packs are installed, switching to a different language of the Atlantis interface requires only a few mouse clicks.

In order to create a new language pack for the Atlantis interface, you need to download the translation kit containing the original English interface resources of Atlantis. It is a ZIP archive containing mainly plain text files.

After downloading the translation kit, use the file manager to create the "Lang" folder under the "user files" folder of Atlantis (its location is specified at the top of the "Load/Save" tab of the "Tools | Options..." dialog of Atlantis). Then unpack the contents of the translation kit to the "Lang" folder. [Screenshot]

Finally, make sure that you have the latest version of Atlantis (choose the "Help | Check for Updates..." menu command of Atlantis). And now you are ready to start translating. Just follow the instructions in the "Read me.txt" file from the translation kit.

Should you have any questions about the translation kit or the language packs of Atlantis or are interested in creating a language pack for the official repository of Atlantis, please email us or post it to the Atlantis Forum.
